Kneadable eraser, also sometimes called putty rubber, is commonly used in dry media, such as graphite and charcoal art. Due to its properties, it generally leave little to no mess (unlike a regular eraser), can be shaped for removing thin lines, and be made into impromptu sculptures either as a sketching subject, or entertainment. These types of erasers generally last longer than a regular eraser.
